Book a flight. How to travel cheap? Part I

How to book a flight in a good way

In a few days I am going on a trip to Morocco so I thought it is a good time to write about how book a flight cheap. It is also an important component of reasonable saving, isn’t it? 🙂 At the same time I would like to point out that it will be not super inexpensive but let’s “reasonable” with the option of seeing as much as possible. Of course, some of you will now think that traveling itself has as much to do with saving as choosing Christmas shopping with an unlimited credit card. Nevertheless, it is such an important element of my life that I can’t refuse myself such adventures. There are more and more opportunities. More and more people are traveling. Maybe you too, so I hope that some of my advices will be very useful for you.

My experience in travelling

I prepared dozens of practical tips from my experience based on trips made to most European countries (including more “exotic”, less popular among others, Belarus or Montenegro), to the USA, Canada, Georgia, Turkey or Tunisia. In total, I was in about 40 countries (I never exactly counted this), so if you are a novice traveler, you will certainly find something interesting here. If you are also an experienced traveller then you will certainly contribute a bit from yourself in the commentary. I hope so at least! 🙂

Where to book a flight

The basic factor that encourages me to travel is to book a flight cheap. Finding an affordable flight is one of the answers to the question of how to travel cheaply. Service like Booking.com (book using THIS LINK to have 10£ discount) or Booking Buddy (part of TripAdvisor company) should be the beginning of your search.

Cheap airlines – good and bad sides

When traveling with Ryanair or Wizzair, try to fit in the baggage limit. At the moment Ryanair has similar baggage limits (1 small) to Wizzair (1 small) and the main difference is their exact size. Please be aware those rules may change anytime in the future! Buying your luggage you can often pay more for this pleasure than for a ticket. If possible, give up a small suitcase and take a backpack. You’ll put a lot more stuff in it. Of course, if you drive for more than 8-10 days and you will have to pay extra for the car you need. I feel with a small backpack comfortably going for a maximum of a week.

Best time to book a flight

Think carefully whether the low price of a flight. For example Sardinia in the middle of winter is worth the bad weather that you encounter on the spot. You can save some money travelling not in season but instead of a lively spring you will see some gray landscapes. In result you will run in a jacket instead of in shorts. To make matters worse, the day will be short. Travel after changing the summer time, you will gain an hour. In my opinion, the decisive best dates for traveling to places remote from Poland for a maximum of several thousands miles are April, May, September and October. Possibly also the beginning of November if you consider southern countries. You will avoid high prices, crowds on the spot, hot weather, and the trip will definitely be very successful.
